Madagascar's President in Singapore on working visit
Madagascar's President Mr Marc Ravalomanana is in Singapore for a four-day working visit.
He called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on Tuesday afternoon.
Madagascar has a population of nearly 17 million people.
Agriculture is a mainstay of the economy, accounting for more than one-fourth of GDP and employing four-fifths of the population.
The Madagascan leader also called on President SR Nathan.
Mr Ravalomanana has been at the helm of the country since April 2002.
